Verge Center for the Arts

Mission Statement: The mission of Verge Center for the Arts is to expose the Sacramento art region to internationally recognized contemporary art, while providing vital resources to local career and emerging artists.
Rich wears many hats at Verge. He is the resident contractor, sits on the board of directors and keeps a craftsman workspace in the building. He has been involved with the center for over 3 years and manages all construction initiatives around the property, both large and small. Since the VCA relocated to its current downtown location on S street Rich has been deeply involved in the organization's physical and visionary transformation.
The VCA became a non-profit arts organization in 2010. The 24,000 square foot former furniture warehouse now includes:
- 2 art galleries
- Flexible classroom space for up to 80 students
- Library Lounge stocked with reading material and exhibition information
- Community print lab
- 40+ artists' studios
